Thyroid Glad- A ductless gland in the neck that secretes hormones regulating the development through the rate of metabolism
I became interested in learning what the Thyroid Glad is and what it does during my psychology when my teacher was talking about the brain and she mentioned the Thyroid Glad but didn't go into detailed. It got my attention because the Thyroid has to do with your metabolism, your body weight. I wanted to know how the metabolism really works how it changes and why is it different for others. Over the years I notice my metabolism has definitely changed as the years go by my metabolism has slowed down. Due to that, I have gain weight and I have to watch more on what I eat. For some their metabolism never changes and they can eat whatever they want without affecting their weight. Your metabolism starts to change as you get older and start to lose muscle mass and it also depends on your sex. Thyroid Glad can regulate body temperature aid in digestion. Without our bodies would not be able to convert nutrients into energy.
